If you want to use friendly Arduino IDE to write code for ESP8266 you are lucky !
Just go to Arduino download page and get the latest version of the Arduino IDE. Start IDE then go to Files->preferences and add in the Additional Boards Manager URLs text box: http://arduino.esp8266.com/stable/package_esp8266com_index.json
Then go to Tools->Board->Board manager. Wait for every board to load, scroll down to ESP8266, select it then click install.
And voila !!
You can now program any ESP board using the well-known Arduino IDE and code style.
